While we all love a delicious warm soup in the winter, my little family loves a good cold strawberry soup all year around. It's healthy, easy to make, fun to eat, and totally yummy! MaMere started serving Strawberry Soup as the second course of Christmas brunch years ago and ever since we have all been addicted. I made some this evening and thought I would share...
Slice your strawberries so that you have 2 1/4 cups
Blend your strawberries with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar.
** I also add four artificial sweeteners to give the soup some extra sweetness **
Once your strawberries are pureed with sugar, add 1/3 cup of sour cream, 3/4 cup of heavy whipping cream, and blend together.
Boil 1/3 cup of a White Zinfandel, as to boil out all alcohol. Then add to mix in blender.
Lastly, add 1 1/4 cup of water and blend for 1 minute. Chill overnight. Serve and ENJOY!!!

Thursday Night Family Devotional
For those of you who don't know, Jimmy and I do a Thursday Night Family Devotional each Thursday evening. We begin with breakfast dinner and wrap up with a kid friendly devotional. With our home renovations, we have designed and dedicated an entire room for these weekly devotionals. Here's a glimpse...

Latest Obsessions...
As we begin the new year, I have noticed that we are a house of four people who very much love very different things...
Four year old Elizabeth Anne, can not get enough swinging. Thanks to Pops and MaMere she now has a swingset in her very own backyard for all the swinging possible...
Four year old Scarlett's obsession with "dress ups" escalated with our December wedding. She plays in them, sleeps in them, and has even tried to convince us that she can in fact bathe in the evenings while wearing them. Thanks to wonderful grandparents, she now has a trunk full of dozens of costumes so she may be any princess at any given time.
